THE BAND

Hamburg's biting beast is on the hunt. Greedy, voracious and with a bite force that leaves clear marks.

GODSNAKE celebrates modern melodic thrash metal / heavy metal of the present with reference to some groundbreaking old masters. Straight, hard, riff orientated - but without a lack of catchiness and hooklines.

The reptile has been wreaking havoc in the scene since 2015 and has successfully nestled in the metallic jungle. Torger (vocals), Stevo (guitar), Pepe (guitar), The Walt (bass) and Sidney (drums) repeatedly underline how much enthusiasm and passion they have for their music and manage to bring exactly this concentrated energy onto stage.

The audience has celebrated GODSNAKE live with Rage, Brainstorm, Motorjesus, Emil Bulls, The Unity, April Art and most recently as main support on the "Through Time Tour" of British masters Threshold through Germany, Belgium, Holland and Switzerland. The snake community continues to grow consistently beyond the country's borders. The band has also successfully played some damn cool and valued festivals and was able to convince audiences and organizers and made the stages shake, for example Radio Bob Rockcamp at the Kieler Woche, Rock In Rautheim or the Hamburg Metal Dayz, Helmfest and many more.

Offstage the band has big ambitions as well and has built on a powerful professional foundation from the start as both the debut album Poison Thorn (CD, 10/2020) and the follow-up EYE FOR AN EYE (CD, VINYL, 5/2023) were both released worldwide via Massacre Records and thus had the physical and digital support of a successful distribution network.

Lasse Lammert, the mastermind of Lübeck based LSD Studios (Alestorm, Gloryhammer, Raven, Wind Rose and many more), is responsible for the fat sound of both albums (recording, mix, master). The band was able to get the English speedster Wayne Dorman of the thrash legend Onslaught to play the guitar solo in the song „Story of A Ghost“ on the current album EYE FOR AN EYE.

The motto for the cover and artwork is also: never change a winning team. The band worked with Björn Gooßes / Killustrations (including Amon Amarth, Death Angel, Hatesphere, Sodom) on both albums. Björn knows perfectly how to inspire the band with his style and create suitable imagery for their music.

In addition the experienced Hamburg photographer Franz Schepers (Helloween, Joachim Witt, Smudo among others) recently created the impressive photo series for the new album which perfectly blends into the artwork of Björn Gooßes.

Last but not least… GODSNAKE has some fantastic video clips to offer created by great filmmakers. Mirko Witzki / Witzki Visions (Doro, Arch Enemy, Electric Callboy, Emil Bulls, among others), Andy Pilkington / Very Metal Art (e.g. Judas Priest, Flotsam & Jetsam, Venom Inc.), Ingo Spörl / Hard Media (Sabaton, Avantasia, among others) have done a fantastic job. To date there are over 130,000 views on YouTube for the official clip for "The Sickening", first single from the album EYE FOR AN EYE, produced by Mirko Witzki. Together all clips reach more than 350,000 views on the platform.

Some great gigs for 2025 have been confirmed. But as the beast's greed and hunger grows, planning for further live raids is in full swing.

Watch out for the beast to bite you – watch out for GODSNAKE
